It seems like everything fried tastes good. Chicken, french fries, the list goes on. Here in Mexico, it is no different. Many classics that come to mind are the ubiquitous milanesas, enchiladas, and flautas. For this entry in the caliente food blog, we visited an excellent cenaduría (diner) that makes very good flautas and enchiladas.
We tried the flautas with shredded pork leg and cheese enchiladas at Cenaduria Meaty Flautas. The flautas at cenaduría meaty flautas were made in the traditional style that is commonly found in Guadalara, bathed in a tomato based salsa and garnished with lettuce, tomato, and onion with cream on top. What made these flautas good were their width and the amount of meat that was contained within them. I did not find many pockets of air in these fat flautas; just pure, juicy, delicious meat. The cheese in the enchiladas was very rich .
The enchiladas complemented the flautas really well and completed a very satisfying meal.
Cenaduria Meaty Flautas was a good diner that we highly recommend. It is located very close to Avenida Chapultepec. So, you can eat dinner and than head out to the bars.
